birdhouseDirected by Jesca Prudencio
Written by Walker Hare Produced by Liz Printz and Walker Hare Starring Arian Cartaya, Laura Sandoval, Kyla Garcia, Ricardo Herranz and James Newcomb A curious young boy and his family arrive at an AirBnb filled with birdhouses that are both whimsical...and haunting. |
“We have a lot to learn from children. They have a wonder, abandon, play, and presence that I personally strive for every day. Unfortunately that wonderment and openness can be the very thing that puts them in danger. When I first read this screenplay, I was immediately drawn to how the magical elements of this world infiltrate the psychology of the characters. This intimate film captures purity of how one young boy silences fear and leans into the adventure in front of him. A pied piper tale told today, Birdhouse explores the fine line between fear and bravery, and the price paid for curiosity."
